4 Hour Fire Rated PROMATECT®-H Steel Duct Cladding

Where extended fire protection is required, the 4 Hour Fire Rated PROMATECT®-H Steel Duct Cladding provides a tested solution for protecting steel ventilation and kitchen exhaust ducts against both internal and external fire exposure. It is designed to help maintain fire compartmentation while protecting ductwork that passes through different fire zones.

Supplied by PROSAFE, this PROMAT system is constructed using 25mm PROMATECT®-H calcium silicate boards fixed to a galvanised steel channel framework with two layers of mineral wool insulation installed within the cavity. The complete assembly forms a robust fire resistant encasement around the steel duct when installed in accordance with the approved tested construction.

When installed as the approved tested assembly, the system provides 240 minutes of fire resistance and achieves a Fire Resistance Level (FRL) of 120/120/-. The system has been tested and assessed in accordance with BS 476 Part 24:1987 for fire resistant ventilation ducts. The system is designed to resist fire from both the internal and external sides of the duct, providing reliable passive fire protection for demanding building applications.

Is this system tested?
