4 Hour Fire Rated Steel Stud Partition

Where longer fire resistance is required for compartment walls, a steel stud partition provides a practical solution while maintaining a lightweight construction suitable for a wide range of building projects.

The 4 Hour Fire Rated Steel Stud Partition supplied by PROSAFE, based on the selected design, is constructed using two layers of 9mm PROMINA®-60 board fixed to both sides of a steel stud framework with mineral wool insulation installed within the cavity. When installed in accordance with the tested construction, the complete assembly has a system thickness of 136mm.

Tested to BS 476 Part 22:1987 for non-loadbearing construction, the system provides 240 minutes of fire resistance from both sides and achieves a Fire Resistance Level (FRL) of -/240/240 when installed as the approved tested assembly.

Suitable for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential developments, this partition system provides a dependable solution where extended fire compartmentation is required.

The 4 Hour Fire Rated Steel Stud Partition is suitable for a variety of building types, including:

  • Commercial buildings

  • Industrial facilities

  • Institutional buildings
