1 Hour Fire Rated Steel Stud Partition
A steel stud partition provides an efficient way to create internal fire compartment walls while maintaining a lightweight construction suitable for a wide range of building projects. It is commonly used where both fire resistance and ease of installation are important considerations.
The 1 Hour Fire Rated Steel Stud Partition supplied by PROSAFE, based on the selected design, is constructed using a single layer of 9mm PROMINA®-60 board fixed to both sides of a steel stud framework, complete with PROMINA®-60 cover strips over the board joints and mineral wool insulation within the cavity. When installed in accordance with the tested construction, the complete assembly has a nominal system thickness of 86mm.
Tested to BS 476 Part 22:1987 for non-loadbearing construction, the system provides 60 minutes of fire resistance from both sides and achieves a Fire Resistance Level (FRL) of -/60/60 when installed as the approved tested assembly.
Suitable for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential developments, this partition system provides a practical solution for creating fire compartments while supporting modern building requirements.
The 1 Hour Fire Rated Steel Stud Partition is suitable for a variety of building types, including:
-
Commercial buildings
-
