2 Hour Fire Rated Suspended Ceiling
Where longer fire resistance is required, a suspended ceiling system provides an effective solution for maintaining fire compartmentation while creating space for mechanical and electrical services above the ceiling.
The 2 Hour Fire Rated Suspended Ceiling supplied by PROSAFE is based on a tested PROMAT system constructed using two layers of 9mm PROMATECT®-H calcium silicate boards with staggered joints, supported by a galvanised steel framing system and insulated with two layers of 50mm mineral wool. The complete assembly provides an overall system thickness of 118mm when installed in accordance with the approved tested construction.
Tested to BS 476 Part 22:1987 for non-loadbearing construction, the system provides 120 minutes of fire resistance from below and achieves a Fire Resistance Level (FRL) of -/120/120 when installed in accordance with the tested assembly.
Suitable for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential developments, this suspended ceiling system offers a practical passive fire protection solution where a tested 2-hour fire rated ceiling is required.
The 2 Hour Fire Rated Suspended Ceiling is suitable for a variety of building types, including:
-
Commercial buildings
